The K11 will run the XS fine with your stock cable.

you should use the 6.35 port with the edition xs, not the balanced 4.4 port, because you actually get more juice out of the non balanced port with the k11 (only with your headphones!!!).

I tried using a stock cable with a lightning to usb-c connection and the files k11 does not recognize my itouch.

Even if the raw wattage on paper looks lower for low-ohm loads, the Balanced port offers three "surgical" advantages: Better Stereo Separation, Dynamic Headroom, Controlled Damping.
