Fiio K13 should be pretty much plug and play as far as software goes... I was blown away how good it is out of the box and pretty much plug and play. This setup is pretty dang amazing.

How does the Fiio K13 R2R do in gaming?

I wonder how the K13 R2R compares to the K15, anyone tried them both?

One thing I do dislike about the K13 is the knob. It feels cheap and way too shallow... Does anyone also have an issue with the volume knob skipping or repeating certain volumes when turning?

I'm assuming you're using NOS mode? If not then you should definitely try NOS mode. Also have you tried comparing it to your Liquid Spark? As in K13 R2R Line Out -> Liquid Spark to compare the amp.

I did an A/B test on the K13 with balanced XLR out vs RCA to XLR and the difference is immense lol.

I've gone back and forth between NOS and OS on my K13 for weeks now and there is definitely an audible difference and to my ears I prefer using the OS mode.

I did a Test between k13, k11, k5, fosi zh3 and the topping dx5 ii- recognized nearly zero differences.

Switching between the two modes for about a month now, ive noticed (at least to my ears) that no oversampling sounded softer and warmer, while oversampling sounded more detailed but brighter.

I do notice far less fatigue over longer listening with the R2R in NOS. ... Despite having a few headphone amps I really dig, I've mainly liked the K13 just using its built-in amp.

The K13 R2R is great. I do somewhat prefer delta sigma, but R2R is a nice change, and I certainly prefer R2R over tubes for warming things up.

I highly recommend you try using the onboard EQ settings on the K13 as it may stop you from buying a new headphone anytime soon.

I've tinkered a bit with EqualizerAPO when connecting the K13 to my PC, but I haven't used the onboard EQ yet.

I also like the K11 R2R (apparently the same DAC as the K13) - I now have a different amp (tubes) behind it, but the DAC is really nice
