I also use Sage/Breville Barista Pro
And unless I’m mistaken, the Barista Pro doesn’t even show you that info anyhow.
The reason not to buy the barista pro is that the grinder isn't very good.
If I was willing to pay retail prices, I would spend most of the budget on a grinder and the rest on a separate machine without the integrated grinder.
I’ve had a Barista Pro for 4 years now, it does everything well enough, but it doesn’t look interesting compared to more ‘genuine’ machines.
Inside the range of what you can buy the Barista Pro for, it's hardly arguable for me as well.
I would recommend the machine to anyone who just wants to make espresso at home, without going for the best possible results at this price.
I would want a Barista Pro-like machine with newer upgrades and tech but without an internal grinder.
Can't help ya, I like my Barista Pro, I did buy a separate grinder if I want to dial in for espresso but usually leave the hopper full on the built in grinder and make my morning capacino.
I’ve had a Barista Pro for about 5 years now and even with the early grinder I still think it makes decent espresso.
My new Barista Pro grinds 21g in about 20 seconds.
Barista Pro has upgraded burrs in the grinder when compared to the Barista express, and the newer thermojet heating element has better steam pressure (and faster heat up but that’s minor).
i bought my Barista in 2012 and it seems indestructible after at least 15,460 double espressos let alone hundreds of cappuccinos in that period.
This isn’t a good deal. For $50 more I would buy this.
