I have worked with DJI Mavic 2 in the past for research, and I found the lack of documentation for the SDK to be pretty frustrating. Documentation is still trash-tier though.
What one Redditor said
โAnd the drone footage was just the DJI Mavic 2. Iโm always my worst critic, but Iโm pretty happy with how all of it turned out!โ

Mavic 2 is very outdated and I wouldn't trust those batteries. Also, 180$ for Mavic 2 Pro with batteries and RC Pro sounds very scammy.
A working Mavic 2 Pro here with a couple of batteries will sell for ยฃ300 to ยฃ400 while a smart controller on its own is ยฃ200 to ยฃ300
the mavic 2 pro works fine and the controller also but the mavic 3 is in better condition
Mavic 2 Zoom is an older bird with a smaller sensor, and unless you need that Zoom ablelity. not a lot in favor for it..
Iโm buying a mavic 2 pro
These were shot on an old mavic 2, you can get the same result from a mavic air or mini as well, just need to shoot them properly

The mini 5 pro is impressive and an upgrade from the mavic 2 pro too.
if the Mavic 2 Pro isn't cutting it for you, check out drones with bigger sensors or better low-light capabilities.
You have been on borrowed time on mavic 2 batteries. Upgrade before one day you lose your drone due to a battery issue
I am using mavic 2 pro in 2025 (in the US) and it's a fantastic drone. The camera is amazing, the photos and videos look great. Easy to fly with pretty good obstacle avoidance
I just picked up a Mavic 2 Enterprise Zoom dirt cheap, I've already got a Mini 4 Pro, but couldn't say no at that price. It flies well, and the zoom is nice.
I used to have a Mavic 2 Pro, but then switched at some point. Firstly, because of the laws: you have to maintain a significantly greater distance from people, property, etc. with the Mavic 2 in the E
The sensor of the Mavic 2 Pro is bigger than Mini 5 Pro and the Air 3s also has only 1" sensor.
