Bought a mini 3 from a pawn shop for $220 with rc 1, 3 batteries, and a block charger. Made $190 back and basically got 3 batteries and a charger for $30. It's was worth it.

Mini 3 is so much better imo. I had a Mini 2 which is essentially the same, and the 3 kills it.
The Mini 3 is the more future-proof choice mostly due to the sensor. Sure, you don't get the extra batteries, but you can buy them separately once you have the means (even the extended ones).
