I bought a mini 4 pro. It said bound to owner. Contacted the owner and they’re telling me that they have unbound it but the remote says their partial email is bound to it yet.

The Mini 4 Pro is incredibly capable for a sub-250g drone... it is leagues ahead of the Phantom era of drones. It is also not massively off the Mavic series for any type of "social media" use cases.
