I have a K8 Pro RGB myself. I love it, but not sure what I will end up doing when it dies.
The K8 Pro's keyboard matrix is 6 x 16, so 22 I/O pins are required (3 less, 10 x 9, would be required for a more square keyboard matrix, but it would require complete rewiring).

I found the k8 pro on meckeys. Was thinking of that came here to find if any better alternatives.
