So what ends up working best for your Q27G3XMN?
It’s actually pretty good. ... is a pretty good budget monitor. There’s moments where it feels like you have an OLED monitor and there’s little to no blooming.
True HDR at $350 might be a good option for some people with rooms that don't bode well for OLEDs. Love mine.
Blooming is sometimes annoying but i wont change it because i like it more then IPS-like dark.
I moved from a S2721DGF (165 Hz IPS) to the Q27G3XMN and did not notice a difference in black smearing at all.
I found the haloing more distracting than IPS's lower contrast. ... HDR in Windows still feels incredibly gimmicky and, as you said, underwhelming.
I just saw this comparison from toasty bors ... with another innocn model and AOC Q27G3XMN (which I was set on buying) and Innocn local dimming has made me wonder again.
The Q27G3XMN overheated after a couple of weeks and started to show signs of the beginning of delamination in the upper corners ... then took on a strong green tint.

The AOC Q27G3XMN is much better, I had it and had 0 issues with it
Both are very solid options right now in the market. Long story short, if you really want to use HDR then go for AOC mini-led
Yes, there is HDR but some people complain that the HDR is too bright and sometimes unusable. Rtings rated this monitor as the worst in terms of VRR flickering (this is unacceptable to me.).
If you want that mini LED version, I would recommend the AOC Q27G40XMN as it’s pretty much updated and revamped version of the Q27G3XMN.
