They know the Eero7 is the only router they have capable of 2G
Got the 1GB system installed as it came with the better router,.... and speed on the app says 977mbps but when I do a speed test on my Firestick it says anywhere from 80 to 130 and it won't play a str
Most devices only take what they “need”. Today’s smart routers also manage how much bandwidth to allot to each device.
Second to that I’d recommend the eero 6e router (out of touch with their product line these days).
It's probably fine, bit expensive tho, most all consumer grade routers are the same. Range will be similar to all others.
Wifi 7 routers with more bandwidth and power are available in this price range.
I would've gone with a wifi7 router and futureproof at that price point.
Get a mesh system vs a regular router.. eero, deco, unifi etc. Mesh is the way to go wifi 6 and above.
Something like the Amazon eeros make that quite straightforward.
imo with wifi 8 knocking on the door and wifi 7 being a marginal upgrade over 6e(in practice) it's not worth spending the money.
If you’re not a networking person, go Eero. Solid WiFi performance, absurdly easy to set up.
This one has 6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz, I always recommend these for home users because the coverage is amazing and you can just plug up the one router on a reliable ethernet connection and the satellite
Probably a great 6E router. However, for the same cost or less, you can buy a WiFi7 certified TP-Link router.
Get a minions router, cheaper and better Wi-Fi.
