EnGenius EWS276-FIT Wireless AP

Wish there was a way to capture what is happening on the EnGenius side. I had enen tried with an outside IP with no firewall and no luck.

The new cloud stuff is incredible. All of it can still be managed locally, but you'd be a fool to do that.

They are cloud *primary* management. I have 2 of them, and you can manage them locally if you want -- but they are super easy to manage via cloud, and rock solid.

The problem is that their tech support is truly awful. For a company that positions itself as an enterprise player, support is way below par.

This past November I had an ECW220 fail. I got a few used ECW230s and replaced the bad 220 with one of those. It was over 4 years old. Pretty good in general, but my feelings are still the same.

there's anotehr white box (EnGenius wifi access) plugged into a wall on the other side of the room. It used to have solid blue LED light. Now it flashes yellow.

The EnGenius box is likely a ECW115. It's a centrally managed (on the cloud) wireless access point. It's the sort of thing you'd see in a hotel, so why it's in a residential seems odd.

I’m not super familiar with engenius.

Not sure why your installer picked Engenius, the brand is fine but on the affordable end like Unifi and TP-Link.

I don’t know that Engenius is the best choice, but this is well beyond DIY territory unless this is your hobby and you are extremely knowledgeable about how to install, configure, and administer a net

Yeah my specialist has recommended Engenius, but I’ll ask them if they’re familiar with Unifi, as that’s where general consensus here to be good.

Interesting. I’ve thought about replacing some of the songs with cuts from No One’s First and You’re Next. Imagine the Whale Song on there! Or King Rat! Remove Steam Engenius and Education. Cool ide
